Sound design for installation

Dante’s Inferno

(time stamped in the video)

Sound Design: Pan-Pan Gou
Lighting Design: Brett Copeland
Actor: Tim Frangos

System
Since there are 4 sound designers, we came up with a rep system of 8 speakers that fills up the Robert Cohen Theater pretty well.
(Drafted by Aerik Harbert)

UCI’s annual halloween project is spooky collaboration between Sound, Lighting, and Acting. Our team was inspired by Dante’s 9 circles of Hell.

I. First World, Water

A space surrounded by underwater turbulence, underscored by"Lestat's Piano Sonata"  from Interview with the Vampire.

II. Second World, Torture

There are 3 stations of different penalties: whip, burn and saw. The devil is conducting the chaos.

III. Third World, Electrics

In a laboratory full of computers and machines running, the devil plays around.

IV. Fourth World, Fire

A waiting room filled with sweet wind chimes. Then the fiery floor of hell.
